A 2002 Springbank single malt, matured for 14 years on a combination of bourbon and rum casks and finished for three years in ex-Madeira wine casks, before being bottled in October 2020.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Rich flavours with ginger cake, toffee, grapefruit rind and strawberry jam coming through strongly with underlying saline and smoky notes.
Palate: Spicy black pepper and briny peat leads with sweet notes of caramelised ginger, salted caramel and fennel coming through, and a thick oily feel in the mouth.
Finish: Long, peat character mingles with walnuts.
