A 2018 Milk & Honey single malt, matured in a refill American oak ex-bourbon cask that was previously filled with Scotch whisky from the south coast of Islay, before being bottled in june 2021 exclusively for Belgium!
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Smouldering grass cuttings jump out of the glass – late summer bonfires. Roasted apples and pears follow, along with touches of sweet barbecue sauce and freshly turned gravel. White chocolate and black pepper develop, all wrapped up in a gentle sea breeze.
Palate: Rich and oily in texture with sweet and fruity flavours leading – apples, candied lemons and sweet oranges, with a side of poached pear and a handful of sultanas. Gentle smoke wafts through the middle: an autumnal combination of burning wood and leaves. Hints of sweet liquorice hide at the back.
Finish: Singed oranges and lemons slowly fade, leaving wine gums and lingering woody embers.
