Single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at natural colour, non chill‑filtered. Matured in a combination of Spanish sherry casks (Oloroso or Pedro Ximénez) and ruby Port casks from the Douro Valley (Portugal).
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Deep amber
Nose: On the nose, expect red fruits (raspberry, strawberry jam), black‑currant, and sweet red berries, combined with floral and fruity notes. Subtle hints of rose petal florals, raw barley sugars, and gentle spices (ginger, cinnamon, black pepper) may emerge with some air.
Palate: On the palate, it tends towards bright fruits — red and black berries (currant, raspberry, blackberry), perhaps some plum — with sugary‑sweet notes.
In addition to fruitiness, there are layers of vanilla, light cocoa or mild chocolate nibs, some bar‑ley‑sugar or cereal sweetness, and gentle oak influence.
Finish: Finish tends to be short to medium: lingering fruit sweetness (berry jam, red fruits), with faint echoes of spice, gentle oak, maybe some cocoa or dark chocolate tones.
Land: Scotland, Highlands
Distillery: Glendronach
Alcohol by volume: 46,2%
