Het Huis : Gelegen in Parnay op de heuvel met uitzicht op de Loire tussen Saumur en Montsoreau, produceert ons landgoed verschillende AOC-wijnen: Saumur, Saumur Champigny, Coteaux de Saumur, Cabernet d'Anjou en de Methode Tradditionnellle Saumur Brut. Onze wijngaard wordt al drie generaties lang geëxploiteerd, volgens de traditie van onze voorouders:

De aanwezigheid van een ondergrond van klei en kalksteen geeft het Domaine de Rocfontaine zijn karakter en originaliteit.

Philippe Bougreau heeft het familiebedrijf sinds 1987 overgenomen.

Tasting Notes :

Vermouth del Professore rosso is een Italiaanse vermouth, gemaakt van 100% Italiaanse wijnen. Dankzij de toevoeging van 13 verschillende kruiden uit de Alpen gebieden, krijgt de drank een prachtige complexiteit. Vermouth Del Professore wordt geproduceerd in New Castle Don Bosco in de beroemde distilleerderij Quaglia. Alles gebeurt handmatig in kleine oplages. Vermouth Del Professore Rosso vermouth rijpt zes maanden in kleine eikenhouten vaten. Hierdoor krijgt de versterkte wijn fijne aroma's van het hout zoals vanille aroma's. Vol en zacht van smaak deze vermouth. Duidelijk de vat rijping te proeven. Aangename bitterheid aanwezig. Perfect voor diverse cocktails.

• Machir Bay 46%

Named after the most spectacular beach on Islay, Machir Bay is the flagship of the Kilchoman range. It has a vatting of approximately 80% bourbon barrels and 20% oloroso sherry casks.

Appearance: Gold

Nose: Lemon zest, vanilla and distinct coastal influence give way to floral intensity, juicy peaches, pears, and wafts of rich spices.

Palate: Bursts of tropical fruit and dried sultanas, warming smoke and waves of honey, malt, butterscotch and rich sweetness.

Finish: Sherry-soaked fruit, cracked black pepper and sea salt. Long-lasting with layers of citrus sweetness and maritime peat smoke

• Sanaig 46%

Sanaig, named after an inlet on Islay’s rugged Atlantic cost, is a vatting of Kilchoman matured in both sherry and bourbon barrels. This sherry cask scotch whisky is matured in a high proportion of oloroso barrels.

Appearance: Golden Brown

Nose: Fragrant heather, raisins, pear and orange peel with waves of stoned fruits, mixed spices and rich peat smoke

Palate: Over ripe plums, red cherries and hints of citrus give way to rich barbeque peat smoke, toffee, oak and dark chocolate

Finish: Mouth-coating mixed fruit, caramel, cinnamon and clove with layers of brown sugar, spices, peat smoke and lasting sweetness
