Whitley Neill Gin Distillers Cut 43% 70cl
Whitley Neill is a London‑dry gin brand — historically English, now distilled in the City of London Distillery.
Distiller’s Cut is one of their “classic” expressions of London‑Dry Gin.
The gin’s botanical base includes traditional gin ingredients: juniper berries, coriander seed, angelica root, liquorice root, and dried sweet orange peel.
Tasting Notes :
Appearance: Transparent, water-white, brilliant, no haze or tint.
Nose: at first sniff you get juniper — unmistakably. Soon after, candied / dried orange peel comes through, giving a bright citrus sweetness. There’s also a subtle floral undertone, which softens and balances the aroma.
Some spicy‑earthy and herbal hints (from botanicals like coriander, angelica, liquorice) round out the bouquet.
Palate: orange peel / citrus sweetness tends to dominate initially, but juniper remains present as a stable backbone. There’s an oily, smooth texture — a pleasant mouthfeel that coats the palate gently.
Finish: citrus (orange) lingers, supported by a mild woody / earthy dryness, with juniper still softly present
Land : England
Distillery : Whitley Neill
Alcohol by volume : 43%
