Proefnotitie : Van kleur is de LBV levendig dieprood. Hij heeft een krachtige geur van pittig fruit met een verfijnde kruidigheid, gebrande tonen, vijgen, pruimen, zwarte bes en cacao. In de mond is deze late bottled vintage volumineus en zoetig maar met een strakke aanzet gevolgd door een goed geconcentreerde vruchtigheid.

Het Huis : Taylor's port wordt gekenmerkt door zijn bijzonder hoge kwaliteit. Het is traditionele port met een zeer goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding en met zeer goede smaken en geuren.

Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman (ook wel Taylor’s) begon in de wolhandel maar is al sinds 1692 actief in port. Taylors was het eerste Engelse wijnhuis dat een wijngaard bezat in het Dourogebied.
Vele generaties volgen elkaar op en dat maakt het bedrijf in de portwereld uniek. Tot op de dag van vandaag, net als in het jaar van oprichting in 1692, is Taylor’s een familieconcern dat nog nooit verkocht, gekocht of overgenomen is. Op dit moment staan Alistar Robertson en Huyshe Bower – beide Yeatman afstammelingen – aan het roer en produceren zij port van de allerhoogste kwaliteit.

Matured for a full eight years in a meticulous combination of first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks and premium red wine casks, this expression offers an intriguing depth of flavor while maintaining Bladnoch’s signature crisp and grassy character. Bottled at a precise 46.7% without chill-filtration or added coloring, it delivers a rich, oily texture and a sophisticated interplay between sweet vanilla oak and deep, fruity wine influences.

Ancnoc Sherry Cask Finish Peated Edition (40%) is a beautifully nuanced, lightly smoky single malt Scotch whisky that masterfully bridges the gap between gentle peat smoke and rich sherry sweetness. Crafted at the traditional Knockdhu Distillery in the Highlands, this expression is a tribute to the historical use of local peat in their distilling process. The whisky is matured in traditional American oak casks before being finished in premium sherry casks sourced from Spain. This dual maturation results in a wonderfully accessible, balanced dram where the soft, sweet smoke dances effortlessly with deep fruit and spice notes, making it an excellent introduction to peated whiskies.
